Explore downtown Anchorage’s Mushing District. Learn about the history of dog mushing in the State of Alaska and the major sled dog races in Anchorage. Representatives of the Mushing District will begin the tour at the Log Cabin Visitor Center and finish off with a visit to the Anchorage Museum’s Dog Show exhibition. Please dress for the weather, as this is an outdoor walking tour. Free. Registration required. 6-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the Log Cabin Visitor Center, 546 W. 4th Ave.
