About this Event

During the 1780s Thomas Gainsborough was the leading portrait painter of his age, and his works are enjoyed by thousands of people in galleries around the world each year. This two hour walk looks at some of the people that Gainsborough painted, their lives and some of the back stories behind the paintings. Gainsborough's portraits connect together an incredible number of important people from politics to the theatre, and Footprints of London guide Rob Smith will talk about how they fit into the society of London at that time
