About this Event

Join me for a gentle seasonal walk as we move from autumn towards winter.

Step away from busy everyday life for a couple of hours and reconnect with the natural world around you. We’ll slow our pace, look a little closer and discover what this quieter season has to show us – noticing the plants, trees, fungi and subtle signs of the changing season that we might otherwise walk straight past.

Along the way, I’ll weave seasonal foraging with folklore, mythology and stories of how people have connected with plants and the land for generations. There’ll be opportunities to pause, notice and simply spend time in the landscape, as well as wild food treats and seasonal teas to try.

My hope is that you’ll leave knowing a little more about the wild world around you, noticing a little more, and feeling a deeper connection to the season and the land.

This is a relaxed, family-friendly walk. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.

A few practical bits:

• We’ll meet in the Swift Valley car park

• The walk follows a gentle route, although natural tracks may be uneven, wet or muddy

• Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy, appropriate footwear

• There are no toilets available on the route

• Walks will go ahead in most weather, but may be postponed if conditions are unsafe

• Please let me know about any allergies or dietary requirements when booking

Come curious, wrap up warm, and join me for a wander into winter.
