Walk Tonbridge Club: Sunset hike Haysden and The Flood Barrier

The Walk Tonbridge Club is a relaxed walking group open to everyone. It’s a great way to meet new people and to experience beautiful walks in and around Tonbridge and beyond.

Join us for a beautiful walk from the heart of Tonbridge, along the river, through Haysden Country Park and onto to the Leigh Flood Barrier.

After crossing the flood embankment we will return via The Powdermills and across the fields surrounding Hildenborough.

There are some stiles and gates on this route and the paths are likely to be wet and muddy if we have had rain in the days before this walk.

We will keep our fingers crossed for a clear, dry night and a beautiful sunset.

We will walk at a relaxed pace as to allow the chance to socialise with our fellow walkers and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

We would recommend that you wear suitable waterproof footwear and remember to bring a waterproof jacket, warm clothing and a torch for the later stages of the walk.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead when around livestock and whilst walking on roads.
