Join us for a hands-on discussion about Health Care Directives!When it comes to decisions about your health, it’s important that your health care goals, values and wishes are known. In the event of a sudden injury or illness, you may not be able to communicate your choices.
Join us to talk about completing a health care directive. Learn what the document is, how it is used and what to do with it once you complete one. We will walk through the health care directive in the class and talk about how to update it if you already have one.
Sheila Johnson RN has worked in the LTC field for over 35 years as a Director of Nursing for Nursing Homes, Assisted Living, and a Consultant for Adult Day Care. She has been with M Health Fairview since 2008 and is currently serving as an Advance Care Planning Liaison Post- Acute Services lead. She has previous speaking engagements with Honoring Choices MN, Leading Age MN, MN Dept of Health, and MN Adult Day Services Association (MADSA).
