Walk the Talk is coming to Southshore! Join us for a coastal journey exploring our precious estuary ecosystem, followed by a free BBQ and a cuppa. This will be an opportunity to experience the remarkable birdlife, including the famous godwits, and learn about the vital role this area plays in our community. We will be joined by guest experts Simon Watts and Tanya Jenkins. Since 1995, Tanya has dedicated her career to environmental education as an independent consultant. Now serving as the sole part-time Manager for the Estuary Trust, she champions the protection of our estuarine ecosystems. Inspired by Jane Goodall, Tanya believes that awareness and education are key to preserving these vital habitats and their diverse inhabitants.
Simon is an environmental and climate scientist. He is the Director of BOEE, a charity focussed on community, environment, and economic adaption. He also holds a visiting professorial appointment with National University of Singapore.
Walk the Talk is a free guided walk series, featuring guest experts in the local area.
