Celtic Ways Ireland – St Declan’s Way 2026A Pilgrim Experience Like No Other
For five years, we’ve guided visitors from all over the world along St Declan’s Way, a pilgrim path that slows the pace, restores perspective, and brings a deep sense of peace. Each journey leads home to the quiet beauty of Glencairn Abbey, where the Cistercian Sisters welcome us with warmth, simplicity, and genuine kindness. Staying at the Abbey is a rare privilege—morning bells, shared meals, conversations with the Sisters, and an atmosphere that gently invites you inward.
Our Celtic Pilgrim Experience blends shorter, meaningful walks with time to truly absorb the landscapes and stories along the Golden Vale, the River Suir, the Knockmealdown Mountains, Lismore, and finally the shores of Ardmore. Every day feels different—unhurried, soulful, and deeply rooted in the history of those who walked before us.
We also add a touch of adventure: a peaceful kayak along the River Blackwater beneath the breathtaking silhouette of Lismore Castle, echoing the journeys of pilgrims who once travelled this river on their way to the Camino de Santiago. With local guides enriching the experience, Lismore’s magic, heritage, and charm never fail to captivate.
What stays with our guests long after the journey ends are the small, unscripted moments—shared stories, quiet conversations, ancient paths, and panoramic views that stir something timeless. As one recent pilgrim, Ruby from the USA, beautifully said, “This was far more than a tour—it was a soulful experience rooted in simplicity, connection, and love.”
