This year we are holding a sponsored Walk for World Peace to promote world peace through inner peace and to raise money for our House Project – to one day establish a permanent place for Avalokiteshvara Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Guelph.
We will start the with an inspiring talk at Avalokiteshvara Kadampa Buddhist Centre and from there head out on a hike through the park.
This walk is approximately 10 km. We will start at AKBC at 10am and walk along the Trans-Canada Trail – right along the river, through Riverside Park, past Woodlawn Road and continue up the river trail to Victoria Road and then return to Riverside Park.
There will be a tailgate pit stop at Riverside Park for snacks and refreshments near the carousel. For those who prefer a shorter walk, you are welcome to hang out with us there and await the return of walkers.
