The Walk for Autism & Safety Awareness brings together families, self-advocates, professionals, and allies to promote acceptance, safety, and inclusion. This year’s walk highlights National Safety Month, with a focus on outdoor recreation safety, swimming and water safety, and community safety. Dress in the colors that represent you, as we close out Pride Month. All proceeds directly support Autism Society Greater Hudson Region’s education, advocacy, support, community engagement, and information & resource services.
Autistic individuals face increased safety risks—from wandering and water dangers to barriers accessing inclusive recreation and community spaces. Funds raised through this walk directly support Autism Society Greater Hudson Region’s programs that educate families, professionals, and communities while building safer, more inclusive environments for people of all ages.
This walk is more than steps—it’s a commitment to acceptance in action.
