Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®! Marion's First!

We invite you to step into the shoes of survivors and stand together against domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
This inaugural event is about much more than putting on a pair of heels or dress shoes. It's about creating conversations, building understanding, and showing survivors that they are not alone. Marion is where Turning Point's story began nearly 50 years ago.
As our agency has grown, expanded programs, and opened a second shelter, we have never forgotten our roots. Bringing Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® to Marion is a meaningful way to honor the community that helped shape our mission.
Before the walk begins, join us for a special community panel discussion featuring representatives from the Petito Foundation, Jim and Nicole Schmidt, and local Marion leaders. Together, they will share insights, experiences, and ways we can all help create a safer future for individuals and families.
Every step taken and every dollar raised helps Turning Point provide life-changing and lifesaving services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Your support funds safe shelter, advocacy, crisis intervention, prevention education, and resources that help survivors rebuild their lives.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available! Businesses, organizations, and community members can make a meaningful impact by supporting this event and helping us expand our mission across Marion County. Sponsors will be recognized for standing with survivors and investing in a safer, stronger community.
A special thank you to our current sponsors: Verne Hart Insurance Agency, VFW Post 3313, Walmart Marion, and The Bridge Group–Generations Realty for helping make this event possible.
For sponsorship information or to learn more, contact Jenise Lefevre at [email protected] or 740-382-8988.
Gather your friends, lace up your heels (or dress shoes!), and join us as we walk together for awareness, hope, and change. We can't wait to see you there!
