Get ready to kick off the new year with some hands-on community service at our next 4-H Road Clean-Up!

Save the date: Saturday, January 4th at 9 a.m., we’ll be hitting the streets of Songbird Avenue for a good cause. Wakulla 4-H is proud to take part in the Keep Wakulla County Beautiful Adopt-A-Road Program, and our adopted stretch of road runs from 319 by Publix to the end of the Hammocks neighborhood.

Where to Meet:
Join us in the Publix parking lot, right by Jimmy John’s sandwich shop, to get started. We’ll provide all the supplies you need, including bags, gloves, vests, and pickers.

What to Bring/Wear:
Closed-toe shoes are a must.
If you’ve got a wagon, feel free to bring it along to help carry bags as we work.
Show off your 4-H spirit by wearing your 4-H shirt or a green shirt! We’ll also have neon mesh vests for anyone who wants one.
Don’t forget sunscreen, water, bug spray, and a hat to stay comfortable and protected.

Why January 4th?
It's the perfect time to start the year off right! After the New Year’s celebrations, the streets are often covered in fireworks debris and trash. Let’s work together to clean up and make sure our community stays beautiful and safe for everyone!

Route Details:
It’s a 1-mile stretch out and 1-mile back. If we get enough volunteers, we can start from both ends and meet in the middle. There are restrooms available at Publix, but none along the route.

What to Expect:
At our last clean-up, we wrapped things up in under two hours and even grabbed lunch together afterward. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday morning!
We can’t wait to see you there and make a positive impact in our community. Let’s start the year off with some good, clean fun!
