Join WakeUp Carolina, the Town of James Island, the Charleston Center, and the Charleston County Sheriff's Office for our monthly Overdose Prevention Training at Town of James Island Council Chambers, 1122 Dills Bluff Rd, James Island, SC 29412.

In this training, you'll learn about emerging drug trends, how to recognize the signs of an overdose, the steps to administer Narcan nasal spray, and how to save a life during an overdose emergency. Participants who complete the training will receive a free overdose prevention kit containing two Narcan nasal sprays.

This training is recommended for all community members. Learn how South Carolina's "Good Sumaritan" law (S179) provides legal protection to private citizens that provide life saving measures to someone experiencing an opioid overdose.
