About this Event
WAKE-UP TALK — CLIMATE HITS HOME
What happens when the climate crisis suddenly becomes personal?

For Benjamin Van Bunderen Robberechts, founder of Climate Justice for Rosa, the climate crisis stopped being abstract in 2021, when his 15-year-old friend Rosa died during the European floods.

Together with Fien Criel from the Klimaatcoalitie and the audience, he opens a conversation about climate justice: who carries the consequences, who carries responsibility, and how much influence young people and citizens really have on decisions that shape their future.

Benjamin also brings his experience from Belgian, European and international climate work, while Fien adds the perspective of collective climate action in Belgium.

This is not two speeches.
It’s an open conversation with the room.

WHAT IS A WAKE-UP TALK?

Morning conversations that matter.

Wake-Up Talks are ROAR’s accessible conversations about the issues, ideas and people shaping the world around us.

A guest gives some context.
Then we open up the room.

No long lectures.
No panel full of jargon.
Just real stories, good coffee and space to ask questions.
