Wake up Talk: THE SOFTEST PROTEST
About this Event
WAKE-UP TALK — THE SOFTEST PROTEST
What if slowing down became an act of protest?
We live in a world that keeps asking for more: more productivity, more consumption, more attention, more speed.
Slow Up for Humanity turns that logic around. Instead of speeding up, it asks us to collectively slow down — not as an individual escape, but as a public signal that the way we exhaust ourselves and the planet isn’t sustainable.
Fresh from the first Slow Up weekend, Elisabeth Van Lierop and Tijs Delbeke, co-founders of Worried Citizens, join us to talk about why they started the initiative, why slowing down can be political, and what collective action can look like when it doesn’t have to shout.
This isn’t a talk about doing nothing.
It’s a conversation about doing things differently.
