Wake, Awake: Watching for Jesus Hymn VBS

Discover a new kind of VBS experience! Immerse your child in God's Word combined with the beautiful hymn, "Wake, Awake, for Night Is Flying"!
Each day at Wake, Awake...everyone starts with opening worship, where children, leaders, and helpers sing, hear God’s Word, and pray together.
- Then, children head off to a Bible lesson, where they learn a Bible narrative that relates to themes of the hymn.
- Next, children attend a Catechism lesson that shares a teaching from Luther’s Small Catechism.
- Finally, they go to a hymn lesson, where they explore the biblical themes of the hymn text and sing together.
- Children also enjoy snacks, games, and a craft before coming together again for closing worship.
Each of the five days of Wake, Awake focuses on a line from the hymn paired with a Bible narrative, central truth, Bible verse, Catechism connection, Law and Gospel, craft, games, and snacks.
This VBS open to children ages 3 (potty-trained) through fifth grade, running from 9am-12pm June 29-July 3 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
