We'll get the pawty started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring remarks from Kent County leaders, community partners, and Fritz Wahlfield Jr. — whose family has played an important role in the park's history.
After the ceremony, be among the first to explore everything this incredible new 10-acre dog park has to offer, including:
🐾 A dedicated 1-acre area for small dogs
🐾 A 2-acre open activity field
🐾 Crushed stone walking trails through natural areas
🐾 A 1-acre swimming pond with a beach and jumping dock
🐾 A family restroom with a convenient dog wash station
The fun doesn't stop there! Attendees can also enjoy:
🐾 Live K-9 demonstrations from the Sheriff's Office
🐾 Information and resources from the Animal Shelter
🐾 Giveaways for the first 150 canine guests (while supplies last)
🐾 Dog-friendly treats for purchase from Pink Paw Patisserie
This exciting new park is the result of a true community partnership, made possible through the support of Kent County, Frtiz Wahlfield Construction, private donations, and generous contributions from Fritz Jr. and Liz Wahlfield.
