Wading Birds Walk

The Volusia County Explore Volusia program invites you to join Environmental Specialist Tommy Nordmann and discover the wading birds and other aquatic birds that call Volusia County home. We’ll learn how to identify them, and we’ll explore some of the adaptations that make these birds so unique. Ages eight and up are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring binoculars.

** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program.

ACTIVITY: moderate hike

RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.

TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.

AGES: Ages eight and up are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes that can get muddy and wet, comfortable clothing for the outdoors

WHAT TO BRING: water, bug spray, sunscreen, binoculars (not required to participate)

FACILITIES: There are bathrooms on site.
