WHAT IS IT?
A fun evening of televised horse races shown on the big screen, where you can place bets on your favourite horses to win prizes.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
On the night you will be given a pack containing betting slips, information on how to bet, race cards (providing you with the form for each horse) and fake money to place your bets with. Before each race we will talk you through each runner so you can make an informed decision before placing your bets.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
As well as lots of excitement and fun, if your horse is a winner you will be given your winnings in fake money according to the odds for that horse. The person with the most fake money at the end of the evening will be given a prize!
WHAT ELSE?
And that's not all - if you really want to get into the spirit of the evening, dress for the races - the best dressed will win a prize.
Nibbles will be provided on each table to keep you going throughout the evening.
There is a bar, run by the sailing club, which takes card payments only.
There is also a raffle and you can buy tickets on the night with either card or cash (not the fake sort!).
