W: A Return to Oz comes to Worcester! Selected as part of the Worcester International Film Festival between the 22nd to the 26th September at the Odeon Worcester.

Worcester Film Festival is a curated event and competitive festival, where films (ranging from independent shorts to full-length features) are showcased to audiences, critics, and industry professionals alike. Films are submitted to the festival and then go through a selection committee to be curated for screening, ensuring our audiences have a truly unique and unparalleled cinema experience with a diverse range of stories. During the festival period, over 100 films are shown. These Officially Selected films then go to a Jury to be shortlisted for nomination. Awards are then handed out to winners at the culmination of the festival.
Compared to a traditional cinema experience, the festival highlights stories you won’t always see on the big screen: unique voices, bold ideas, and innovative filmmaking. With film screenings, Q&As, networking, workshops and more, there’s something for everyone at our event.
At Worcester Film Festival, we bring together independent filmmakers from around the world to celebrate the power of storytelling in all its forms. The festival is now BIFA-Qualifying, meaning films screened at our festival are now eligible for consideration in BIFA’s prestigious British Short Film Awards. We couldn’t be prouder to represent the West Midlands as the only BIFA-recognised festival in the region.
Our festival welcomes filmmakers and film-watchers equally, so whether you’re looking to enter your work for next year’s submission or join us for the event to watch new, independent films as a lover of all things cinema, we’re glad to have you here.
