RUN THE VWS TRAIL CHALLENGE ON 3 MAY 2026Join us for one of Cape Town’s most scenic and iconic trail runs, the VWS Trail Challenge, in support of the Volunteer Wildfire Services.
Starting from Gardens Rugby Football Club, runners can choose between a 10km or 20km route that takes you through some of the most beautiful trails on the lower slopes of Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak. The routes wind through the historic tracks of Deer Park, along spectacular single track above Tafelberg Road, and offer breathtaking views over the city and Atlantic Seaboard.
Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or looking for a memorable run in the mountains, the VWS Trail Challenge promises an unforgettable day on the trails.

10km Route
Price: R450 (Limited Early Bird tickets available at R400)

Briefing: 07h50
Cut-off: 11h15

The VWS Trail Challenge is organised entirely by Volunteer Wildfire Services, a volunteer-run non-profit organisation dedicated to wildfire response, protecting biodiversity, and preserving the natural heritage of the Western Cape.
All proceeds from the event go directly towards supporting our firefighting operations and volunteers.
