Join us for the 13th Annual Athens Vulture Festival! Hosted by the ACC Solid Waste Department, Vulture Fest celebrates nature’s clean-up crew and will feature an ORAS bird walk, live raptor shows from the Auburn University Raptor Center, activities for kids, and tours of the landfill and composting operations.
Full schedule and event details: https://www.accgov.com/6785/Vulture-Festival
IMPORTANT NOTE: On occasion, field trips may have to be cancelled (bad weather, etc.) or important details may change (for example, the original meeting spot for a site may have to be changed if there is a trail closure or parking problem). If you plan to attend a bird walk, ALWAYS check oconeeriversaudubon.org/upcoming-events the night before for updates.
