VSSA Ugly Sweater Classic

Victorian Strength Sports Association is hosting a strongman xmas comp for everyone. Costumes encouraged.

The Strong Geelong Christmas party will be after.

Come along and lift some heavy things in the Little Creatures parking lot and have a blast to kick off the holiday season.

There will be four divisions:

Novice women / men

Free-for-all women / men

No weight classes, so no need to weigh-in this close to the holiday season 🤪

Events (in no particular order):

"Sleigh" carry (frame) -15x15m

• Novice Women: 100kg
• Advanced Women: 140kg
• Novice Men: 180kg
• Advanced men: 230kg

"Eggnog" Press (Viking) - for reps, rising bar

• Novice Women: keg + 20kg
• Advanced Women: keg + 40kg
• Novice Men: keg + 80kg
• Advanced men: keg + 100kg

Increasing 10kg each time, 3 weight increases, then reps. Weights might change depending on weight of Little Creatures Cask empty.

"Chocolate coin" deadlift (SDDL) - for reps

• Novice Women: 130kg
• Advanced Women: 160kg
• Novice Men: 200kg
• Advanced men: 240kg

"Gift return " (sandbag toss)

• Novice Women: 12,14,16,18
• Advanced Women: 14,16,18,20
• Novice Men: 16,18,20,22
• Advanced men: 18,20,22,24
