The Root River Council was awarded a grant in the form of $1,000 worth of native perennials. We need volunteers to help us install 150+ plants in Clayton Park, one of the parks along the Root River Pathway. The planting date is Saturday, May 23 starting at 10am. Rain date is Sunday, May 24. Anyone who is passionate about eliminating storm runoff, improving habitat for migrating Monarch butterflies, and enhancing Racine's hidden gem, the Root River Pathway should join us.Please wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves if you have them. We will supply shovels.
