Here at The Alnwick Garden we’re expanding our volunteering opportunities with new roles for 2026. Drop in to the Roots and Shoots Community Room on Wednesday 8th April 2026 at either our morning or afternoon session for a brew and a browse.
We’ll be welcoming people who are over 16, with all abilities, who would like to get stuck into gardening, are passionate about turning local produce into healthy meals and love to help wildlife to thrive.
You don’t need to be an expert to join in - we’ll help each other to share tools and equipment both here at the Alnwick Garden and out in the community.
Most of our volunteering will take place mid-week with a mix of regular sessions and seasonal events. We’re especially keen to support people who are not in work or education so that your experience with us helps you start your journey into work.
