Volunteering: Maastricht City Parade
About this Event
At The Social Hub, we believe that community is something you actively build. Volunteering and giving back to the city around us are an important part of who we are. That’s why we’re inviting our community to come together and be part of one of Maastricht’s biggest celebrations of the year.
We’re looking for volunteers to join us at De Stadsparade on Sunday 13 September. There are different ways to get involved, from handing out flyers and welcoming visitors to supporting the production team and helping things run smoothly on the day itself. Whether you love being behind the scenes or prefer connecting with people, there’s a role for you.
A celebration of Maastricht
2026 is Maastrichtjaar — a city-wide programme bringing the rich history and stories of Maastricht back to life. Throughout the year, the city’s history is being rediscovered and celebrated through performances, parties and events, created by and for the people of Maastricht.
On Sunday 13 September, it all comes together during De Stadsparade.
From 14:00, performances will take place at different locations throughout the city, bringing chapters of Maastricht’s history to life. From 17:00, performers and participants will come together for a spectacular parade through the city, led by none other than Bèr, the giant Mosasaurus skeleton.
And from 19:30, the celebration continues on the Markt with some of Maastricht’s best-known artists performing the city’s favourite evergreens. Yes… Beppie will be there too!
Come volunteer, meet new people, experience Maastricht from a different perspective and help make this special day happen. It’s a chance to give something back to the city we’re part of — together as a community.
