Volunteer workday: Half Moon Bay State Beach

Celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week and help protect and restore coastal habitats at Half Moon Bay State Beach! We will remove invasive ice plant, cape ivy, mustard, thistles, and poison hemlock from coastal dune and scrub areas.
We may also sheet mulch some restored areas to prepare for future native plantings. Reintroducing native flora creates a biodiverse coastal habitat that resident birds, insects, amphibians, and reptiles need to survive and thrive. A pizza lunch will be provided from 12-1 PM for all attendees.
All ages welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and bring a waiver signed by their guardian).
Full opportunity address and directions will be sent to you by e-mail after you sign up using the link attached.
