Volunteer Workday at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area

Join The Nature Conservancy and the Bureau of Land Management in this Volunteer Planting Day at Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area (ONA)!

We need YOUR help to plant native species along the eastern shoreline in contribution to the shoreline stabilization project. Join us for a fun morning outdoors!

• Conditions may be hot, sunny, and humid.
• Biting or stinging insects may be present.
• All participants should wear comfortable clothes and may prefer long pants and/or shirts to protect their skin.
• Sunscreen, bug spray, and a hat are recommended.
• Closed toed shoes are required.
• Don't forget to pack a refillable water bottle.

Water, snacks, work gloves, and all tools will be provided by The Nature Conservancy.

No experience is needed. Recommended for adults and youth ages 8 and up.

All volunteers must be able to traverse on sandy, uneven terrain with incline for approximately 1/2 mile to the work site and back. There will be repetitive bending, squatting, and lifting during the activity. Some volunteers will be carrying up to 15lbs of potted plants, buckets of soil, and buckets of water.

*Great way to earn hours for school, scholarships, or other community service requirements.

Please note: Participants under 18 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Advance registration required. Registration closes on April 16 (Thursday) at 11:59 P.M.

**All registered participants will receive a confirmation email/phone call the week of the event to confirm your spot(s). If there are less than 10 confirmed attendees, this event may be cancelled.**

Cancellations: If the volunteer event needs to be cancelled due to weather or low registration, volunteers will be notified via email the day prior.
