Volunteer Tree Planting - Lower Chew Forest

We need help planting trees to create the native, broadleaved woodlands of the future.

You’ll be helping to plant trees at Lower Chew Forest, a stunning 170-hectare nature restoration project led by Avon Needs Trees and funded by Forest of Avon.

Nestled between Bristol and Bath, this site will soon be home to 100,000 new trees and shrubs, forming a vibrant mosaic of habitats - woodland, wood pasture, wetlands, hedgerows, and species-rich grassland.

All tools will be provided, including gloves. You will need to wear appropriate footwear with good grip and ankle support, weather appropriate clothing and bring your lunch.

Please do not refer to Eventbrite map for location as it does not allow us to give specific directions to the planting site. The exact location, meeting point and parking information will be sent upon signing up.

Volunteers will need to organise their own transport to site. We encourage lift sharing where possible. Toilets are available on site.
