🌟 Volunteer Training at TEC – New & Returning Volunteers Welcome! 🌟Have you been thinking about volunteering at the Therapeutic Equestrian Center? Or maybe it’s been a while since you last helped out at the barn? This upcoming Volunteer Training Session is for YOU!
Whether you’re brand new, returning after a break, or just need a refresher—this session will get you back in the saddle. 🐴
You’ll learn:
✅ The basics of TEC and our mission
✅ Volunteer opportunities—from riding lessons to Camp TEC, Mane Event, fundraising, and more
✅ Policies and safety procedures at the Jane M. Hiler Facility
As a TEC volunteer, you can:
✨ Make a real difference in someone’s life
✨ Work with horses
✨ Stay active and learn new skills
✨ Meet amazing people from all walks of life
Our volunteers wear many hats:
🧽 Barn chores
📣 Community outreach
📝 Office tasks
🎟️ Special events
🧑🏫 School & youth programs
📈 Board and committee involvement
…and so much more!
Some roles (like riding lessons, Camp TEC, and Mane Event) do require:
🚶♀️ Moderate physical activity (walking/jogging for 45 min)
🌦️ Comfort working in various weather
🎯 Ability to follow fast-paced instructions
💪 Assisting riders up to 200 lbs
You can volunteer as much or as little as you like—even as a substitute! No experience needed—just a heart to help. We’ll provide hands-on training and answer all your questions.
