About this Event
Himalayan balsam removal and litter pick. Himalayan balsam is a very invasive plant that needs to be controlled each year to prevent it from taking over and increasing the risk of bank-side erosion.

What to bring: A flask of tea or coffee if you want a hot drink or soft drinks, plus snacks or sandwiches. Also, a pair of gardening type gloves with good grip if you have any.
What to wear: Long trousers and a long-sleeved top are recommended, plus a sun hat, cream and walking boots or similar with good ankle support.
Parking: There is free parking in the car park off St Mary's Drive. Please park considerately and consider car sharing.
Nearest bus stop: Bus stop @ Burns Road, Crawley (number 5).
Facilities: Please be aware that there are no public toilets or other facilities at this site.
Accessibility: Terrain is fairly even with good accessibility.
This taster session is available for individuals who are not already registered as volunteers. It is not suitable for corporate groups.
