Alviso Bufferlands Burrowing Owl Project | San Jose, CA
About this Event
Together we will be working to improve habitat for the resident burrowing owl population by preparing areas for planting and caring for native plants! Fall restoration activities include using clippers to remove seed stalks and using buckets to deeply water plants, as well as shoveling and raking mulch. These involve lifting, carrying, bending, and walking on uneven terrain.
Visit Grassroots Ecology’s Alviso Bufferlands webpage to learn more about the ecosystem and accessibility considerations.
Waivers/Registration: All volunteers attending the workday must be registered individually and have approved the online waiver through this Eventbrite page. This opportunity is only for those aged 18+.
