Help us make the trails better. This project will install a turnpike connecting the Braille Trail to the Purple trail behind it so we have less muddy adventures.
Meet us at the Nature Center at 9:00am.

Bring plenty of water
Bring a pair of work gloves
Dress well for outdoor work
Pants and bug spray are recommended
Close-toed shoes are required
Participants will sign a volunteer waiver upon arrival
After all participants arrive, staff will provide the following:
Introduction to Allegheny County Parks and staff
Explanation of today’s activities
Training on tool safety (tools are provided)
Explanation of tools and how to use.
Inclement Weather Policy: In the case of thunder and lightning, this event will be cancelled and shifted to the rain date on Saturday, June 13, 2026. If this occurs during the project, participants will return to the Latodami Nature Center barn for safe shelter from thunder or lightning and wait to resume work until 30 minutes from the most recent thunder or lightening. In the event of forecasted rain or other inclement weather, Latodami and NPTR will decide whether to cancel by 4:00 pm the day before the program.
