Volunteer of the Year

For over 50 years, HandsOn River Region has proudly hosted the Volunteer of the Year Awards to honor the individuals and groups who make a powerful difference through selfless service. Each year during National Volunteer Week, we recognize those who go above and beyond to uplift their neighbors, strengthen our communities, and inspire a spirit of compassion across the River Region. This year’s event will be held on April 16, 2026 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church and is presented by WSFA, the Governor's Office of Volunteer Services, and Caddell Construction. Dinner included.

Award Categories:

• Adult - Honors an individual whose lasting volunteerism has significantly impacted one or more community causes.

• Adult Group – Recognizes a team of adults volunteering collaboratively to address community needs.

• Youth (College student and younger) - Celebrates a young person who embodies the spirit of service and leadership.

• Youth Group (College students and younger) - Acknowledges school- or faith-based youth teams working together for community good.
