Volunteer for the 2026 Concert of Hope | Doors of Change Fundraising Gala
About this Event
Doors of Change is looking for 40+ volunteers to support our 9th Annual Concert of Hope, a VIP fundraising gala benefiting unhoused youth in San Diego County.
Since 2001, Doors of Change has provided 24/7 personalized case management, housing support, and pathways to self-sufficiency for young people with nowhere to turn. 100% of ticket sales go directly to the mission.
The evening includes a silent auction, live auction, Raise the Paddle fundraising segment, dinner, and a concert featuring The Pettybreakers (Tom Petty tribute band).
Volunteer roles span five committees:
• Guest Experience: greeting, check-in, parking, line management
• Auction & Fundraising: silent auction monitoring, live auction tracking, game ticket sales
• Logistics & Operations: setup, teardown, vendor support
• Concert Transition: booklet distribution, wayfinding, guest flow
• Event Support & Floaters: flexible coverage wherever needed
What to expect:
• 2 virtual check-ins before event day (60 min each)
• 1 role-specific training the week of September 22 (90 min)
• Event day shift: 5–6.5 hours
• Total commitment: approximately 8–9.5 hours
