Volunteer Event: SF Safehouse - Hope Center Organizing
About this Event
Event Name: Volunteer Event: SF Safehouse - Hope Center Organizing
Date: Wednesday October 7rd, 2026 from 4pm - 7pm
Venue: 1089 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94103
In line with SafeHouse's Transitional Housing program, the Hope Center was opened in 2019 in San Francisco’s SOMA District. The Hope Center program maintains our agency’s core values of being an inclusive and safe space where we meet each survivor with compassion and person-centered care. At the Center, women who are experiencing homelessness and sexual exploitation will find a community where they can receive practical and emotional support tailored to their needs.
The center receives donations of clothing, accessories, and toiletries. We will be helping them organize their donation center. Tasks will include sorting, hanging, and quality checking donations. Volunteer shifts may also include creating emergency clothing kits and hygiene item kits. Volunteers must be able to stand for up to three hours, lift up to 20 lbs, and participate in activities with repetitive motion.
Active Members: CANCELLATION POLICY: We want to maintain a positive relationship with the nonprofits we work with. Please note that signing up is not a placeholder.
