Our volunteer days run every Wednesday (unless advised otherwise). It’s a chance to get your hands dirty and support local conservation efforts right here on the Russell Peninsula.
From trap building and weeding to helping our trappers and prepping the native nursery, there’s always something useful to pitch in with—no experience needed, just a good attitude and sturdy shoes!
🛠️ Tasks might include:
– Removing invasive weeds
– Building and maintaining traps (and not only)
– Assisting with trapline work
– Nursery prep and planting support
– Creative tasks
– Birdcounts
– And even baking for fellow volunteers
