Volunteer Day with Agroforestry NW

We are creating a small nursery at our demontrastion forest farm for agroforestry and native plants. This is a small deer fenced space that will have live stakes, potted plants and several raised garden beds. Work is on-going getting it established.

We are looking for help to:

• pot sweet chestnuts graciously donated to us that are currently healed in nearby
• dig up volunteer native trees, berries and shrubs in the local forest and potting
• finish the raised garden beds

At the end you can take home a free plant, dig one up for yourself or another volunteer!

We have pots, top soil, wagons, wheel barrows and a truck to move plants. If you have a favorite shovel/hori-hori feel free to bring it. Some tools are available, but may be limited.
