Join us as we prepare a neglected site for a native hedgerow and food forest planting on the Tulalip Campus at Northwest Indian College. We'll improve a natural area where the student can harvest the plants for foods and medicines, and have a beautiful space to relax in between classes.

We'll remove invasive species, spread mulch, fix an old garden bed and many other small tasks needed to be done for a planting later in the year.

We'll be removing and pollarding native willows. This is a great opportunity to help a community, and get some free livestakes! Any unclaimed livestakes will be used for restoration elsewhere.

All tools and gloves will be provided. If you have a favorite pair of gloves, shovel, loppers or tree pruner feel free to bring them.

Snacks and beverages will be provided and there is a restroom on site.

Arrival instructions will be emailed a few days prior to the event.
