Spend a few hours at Old Souls caring for geriatric, special needs, and hospice animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, goats, pigs, tortoises, chickens, and turkeys. Old Souls is a completely volunteer-run nonprofit organization that is celebrating 15 years of operation in 2025!
Whether you have special skills like building and fixing things, or you just love giving animals baths and spoiling them, volunteering at Old Souls will mean the world to the animals in our care and will give you a fulfilling start to your weekend.
You can feel free to bring fresh veggies for the outside animals (check out Produce on Wheels WithOut Waste and Market on the Move for affordable fresh veggie hauls every week), and treats and supplies for everyone else (even the humans!), but that is not expected or required. Sign up to volunteer at www.oldsouls.org/volunteer and you will get an email every Thursday/Friday with all the details for that Saturday's activities. There is no commitment required so go ahead and sign up because you will also be the first to hear about our off site events, new swag, and important happenings at the Old Souls Hacienda.
If you are hesitating to volunteer with us because you are worried that it might be too sad for you, then it will be quite a treat when you see how happy all the animals are, including the hospice animals who are living their best life on the farm.
Volunteers must be at least 12 years old, and 12-15 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. Old Souls is not open to the public because our animals are fragile so Volunteer Days are very special. Outside of Volunteer Days, volunteers and donors are allowed on site by appointment only, and everyone is welcome during our community events that happen twice a year!
