We invite you to join us at our Volunteer Coordinators’ Forum for the opportunity to meet people with a similar role, network, and share peer support.

This session, we'll hear from CHARIS Refugees and look at working with Displaced People. Whether you’re connecting with displaced people through your job, a local sports club, or a community group, this training is for you.

We’ll dive into the real stories behind the legal labels, exploring why people flee their homes and the emotional journey they face upon arriving in the UK. By understanding these experiences, we can work together to ensure every newcomer in our community feels truly safe, seen, and welcome.

Tickets to this event are freely available to anybody who manages or coordinates volunteers in Somerset, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity.
