Volunteer Community Greenhouse Build Workday

Join us for a volunteer workday to continue building a community greenhouse at the Suga' Cane Community Garden.

All are welcome to attend, with priority to invite volunteers who identify as young black women, age range 18-25 in partnership with UC Davis researchers and students.

Greenhouse Installation/Build

Raised Bed Clean-up

Weeding/General Garden Maintenance

Ongoing Site/Crop Planning for Rain Garden, Native Plant and Pollinator Habitat Planting

Fruit Tree Care and Tree Pruning

Facilities

Access to onsite restroom facilities will be available for use during this event.

Parking

Onsite parking is available anywhere you can find it in the neighborhood.

Info: We will continue moving gravel inside the greenhouse, and building table tops and getting the area prepped for the soft launch grand opening coming up soon.

Info: We will switch gears and clean out the garden beds and prepare them for planting, which we can do during the grand opening event in a few weeks.
