Volunteer Clean-Up - Townsville Recreational Boating Park (#8)

Litter Legends volunteer clean-ups are for everyone. You might just be searching for a new hobby, maybe you’re a passionate environmentalist looking to contribute more, or perhaps you want to get out and about in the sun and exercise. No matter your reasoning, everyone is welcome!
Litter Legends are hardcore when it comes to removing litter and illegal dumping. We don’t shy away from lengthy and gruelling challenges. Whether it be thousands of cigarette butts dumped in a couple of square metres or piles upon piles of buried illegal dumping. You bet if we can see it and it can be physically moved then it’s getting removed! Litter Legends understands everyone has different cleaning styles and limitations so when you volunteer with us, you’re given a lot of freedom regarding how and what you want to clean. If you’re picking up litter, then you’re doing it correctly!
The more people that attend, the more litter and illegal dumping that gets removed. So, let's work together, put in a solid effort, and make every one of Litter Legends’ volunteer clean-ups worthwhile!
Event Details:
When – Saturday the 28th day of September 2024 from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Please do not feel that you have to be there for the entire clean-up, just come during the hours that suit you.
Where (Meeting Point) - Townsville Recreational Boating Park (Car Park), Fifth Avenue, South Townsville 4810.
What To Bring (Recommended) - If you have your own clean-up equipment such as gloves, pick up and reaching tools then please bring them. Make sure to bring plenty of water to keep hydrated. Bring along some sunscreen and insect repellant. Wear a long-sleeved shirt, trousers, enclosed shoes, and a hat. Lastly, have a determined attitude and you'll have an absolute blast!
Litter Legends supplies all relevant cleaning equipment such as gloves, pick-up and reaching tools, bags, buckets, high-visibility vests etc. We also have extra sunscreen and insect repellant.
