Race Crew Volunteers are just as crucial to the Derby 10 Mile as the runners. Without volunteers giving up their own time and helping out, there would be no event. A volunteer's overall role on the day is to help us to ensure all runners get around the course safely whilst getting a good cheer! For example, you can get involved in;
· directing runners and spectators
· clearing the route ahead for the runners
· traffic management
· distributing drinks to hydrate the runners and the post-race items for the runners
· assist any runner who may need attention
· direct runners and spectators before, during and after the event to the desired locations
The list goes on!
All volunteers receive;
1. Drink and snack
2. A certificate of voluntary hours
3. A post race t-shirt and medal (subject to availability at the end of the event).
