About this Event
Join us for Voices Rising: Songs of Solidarity and Celebration - an uplifting evening of singing, conversation, food and drink.
This year our two choirs, Sing for Freedom and the Mixed Up Chorus are singing for a better world, and will be performing a programme of Protest Songs. Our programme represents the diversity of our communities, bringing together powerful music and words from around the globe including from South Africa, Italy and the USA. The choirs will be joined by a special guest performer, to be announced.
The concert will be followed by an opportunity to enjoy food and drink provided by the choir community, whilst connecting with friends old and new.
Doors open at 7.15pm and the bar will be open before the concert, which will start at 8pm.
The venue is fully accessible. Please let us know if there is anything you need to make your evening as enjoyable and safe as possible.
Tickets/Concessions:
Tickets are free for people seeking sanctuary, including refugees and those seeking asylum.
We want everyone who wishes to attend our concert to be able to do so, so if the ticket cost is prohibitive for you, please contact us and we will arrange a concession/free ticket. E-mail [email protected].
Donations
This event will raise funds to support the work of who bring together people who may never otherwise meet to create and perform, and in doing so to build bonds of empathy and understanding (more information below). Our projects include marginalised groups particularly those who are displaced, seeking sanctuary, facing mental health challenges.
We are meeting increasing demands for our projects and programmes whilst also facing cuts and increased competition for grants and funding. Please help us continue and develop our valuable work. You can donate to Together Productions here. We are so grateful for your support.
You can find out more about how donations will support our work on our website.
More information:
brings together people who may never otherwise meet to connect, collaborate and create. We use music and the arts as a catalyst to break down barriers, reduce isolation and enhance well-being. We produce high quality artistic work that is grown through creative collaboration, participation and experimentation.
Our work includes those who are marginalised or excluded, such as displaced people and those seeking sanctuary, people facing mental health challenges, the elderly, the financially disadvantaged and socially excluded. Since 2017 our project has brought thousands of people from across the South East including displaced people and sanctuary seekers together to compose and perform new music.
We know that choirs are an incredible way to build community, improve mental health and build empathy and therefore choral singing is a big part of our work.

is a community of torture survivors and friends who sing together in a spirit of joy and hope, in solidarity with all those who are oppressed. They sing for Freedom and to give back a voice to those who have been silenced. sings to bring together people of different beliefs, faiths, cultures and life experiences to promote understanding and empathy. The Chorus is out to change the world – one song at a time. We believe that if we sing next to each other, we'll live well next to each other.
