The Mammals are an indie-roots band from New York’s Hudson Valley led by songwriters Ruth Ungar and Mike Merenda. Over two decades, this fiercely independent outfit has built a legacy of genre-defying, politically charged, and emotionally resonant folk-rock praised as “some of the best songwriting of their generation” (LA Times). Their music resonates with urgency and tenderness—amplifying the voices of conscience, connection, and the full spectrum of human experience. The band has headlined folk-festivals around the world, appeared with Arlo Guthrie at Carnegie Hall and have been described as “protest music with hooks—think Pete Seeger meets Wilco at a modern hootenanny.” Featuring A Nyack Native: Jude Roberts is a touring indie folk singer-songwriter, born in Nyack and currently living in Woodstock. He writes melodic, erudite songs that invite you to dream richly. He weaves a tapestry of words and music which makes listeners feel like they’ve rediscovered a song they never knew.
Takes place in a beautiful historic former church with incredible acoustics - with a groovy coffee house vibe.
