It's November in New Mexico and Voices of the Barrio is excited to present an amazing featured straight from our very own community.Josué Urrutia I was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. He is the band leader for Los Domingueros, a Latin ska band that sings in English and Spanish. His music has allowed him to play in different countries and share the stage or event with Caifanes, The English beat, Cafe Tacvba , Panteon Rococo, The Marley brothers, Tropidelic, Save Ferris, The Mad Caddies, and many more. His musical styles range from Cali reggae and cumbia to thrash and skacore!
His songs speak of internal struggles, mental health, love and even bulldogs! Josué is a proud Mexican American living in Albuquerque with his wife and his two dogs, a cocker spaniel named guapo and a Bulldog named King Ramses!
Join us at this 2x award nominated open mic serious. All are welcome! Join the open mic and let your voice be heard or just chill and listen to the talented poets and performers. Sign up list starts at 6:30 pm and microphone opens at 7 pm.
