Voices of Female Farmers: A Love Story. A Night of Storytelling at SXSW.

This evening features “Voices of Female Farmers: A Love Story,” Food Tank’s farmer storytelling experience. The program debuted to critical acclaim at Climate Week NYC in September, with Stephanie Hsu as guest MC, and now comes to SXSW.

Women farmers take the stage to share personal stories rooted in love—love of land, soil, health, family, and community—and the daily realities of farming today. The format is direct and intimate, centered on first-person storytelling.

Following the program, guests are invited to a reception. The food and drinks are curated to reflect the farmers and themes featured on stage, creating a natural transition from listening to conversation. The reception offers time to connect with fellow attendees, speakers, and farmers in a relaxed setting.

This evening closes the opening day of Food Tank’s 7th Annual “All Things Food” SXSW (Official) Summit at Barr Mansion, bringing together non-profits, farmers, policymakers, academics, media, and private-sector leaders to end the day grounded in real stories and good food.
