About this Event
Taking care of others starts with taking care of ourselves. Join us for an engaging continuing education event designed for mental health professionals who want to deepen their understanding of self-care—both in their own lives and in the lives of the clients they serve.
This event offers a unique blend of professional development, networking, and community connection. Participants will:
- Earn 3 continuing education credits for mental health professionals
- Learn practical, evidence-based self-care strategies to prevent burnout and enhance clinical effectiveness
- Explore how to integrate self-care tools into client sessions and supervision for stronger outcomes
- Network with colleagues across disciplines who share a commitment to mental health and wellness
In addition to the training, you’ll have the chance to:
- Connect with NAMI Southwestern Illinois and learn about their wide range of programs and services
- Take a guided tour of Riverbend Ministries, home to a network of nonprofits serving the community
- Visit resource tables and meet representatives from local organizations, including: NAMI SWI, Refuge, Amare, CASA of Southwestern Illinois, Mountains to Molehills, Group Interventions, and Metro East Every Survivor Counts
This event is more than a workshop—it’s an opportunity to learn, recharge, and build connections that support both professional and personal well-being.
