VoiCES : Circular Economy Series
About this Event
Following last year’s If Bricks Could Talk exhibition, our new Circular Economy Series (CES) continues the conversation around the practice and theory of circularity in the built environment. VoiCES, the first event in the series, brings together two practitioners exploring how reuse, material value and resourcefulness can challenge conventional approaches to landscape, architecture and design.
Charlotte Harris, co-founder of Harris Bugg Studio, will share insights into the practice’s approach to landscape, horticulture and the creation of resilient, biodiverse places through working with natural systems and existing resources.
Thijs von Barnau Sythoff of Blade-Made will discuss circular approaches to architecture and design, exploring how materials, making and reuse can challenge conventional models of construction and consumption.
The talk will take place at Pianodrome – a unique amphitheatre and performance space constructed from hundreds of unwanted and discarded pianos. The venue itself is a striking example of creative reuse and circular thinking, making it an ideal setting for a conversation about how we might rethink waste, resources and the materials we design with.
Join us for an evening of ideas, discussion and practical perspectives on the circular economy across landscape, architecture and design.
