North Wales’ longest-running spoken word night comes to Conwy for a trio of Winter Sound gigs!
Join the open mic, discover new and exciting local talent, and experience the warmth of creativity in community-rooted venues across the county this winter with Voicebox.

Iwan is a bilingual poet and former journalist who regularly performs in Wrexham as part of the Voicebox Collective. In 2023/2024 he was the Wrex-Slam Champion.

He has read at events and open mics across North Wales and the borders, including the 2024 Llandudno Arts Festival and as performed as part of the 2025 National Eisteddfod in Wrexham.

Voicebox is back with our infamous open mic — a creative cabaret of poets, musicians, comedians, and storytellers. Whether you’re stepping up to the mic or soaking in the vibes, Voicebox is your space to express, connect, and celebrate local creativity.
